To better serve the community, Dr. Mark L. Mathers and the staff of the Center for Plastic Surgery have developed a beautiful surgical facility near the revitalized Cherry Street area in Tulsa. This state-of-the-art building was constructed to conform to the same exacting criteria demanded of hospitals and is fully licensed by the Stated of Oklahoma and is Medicare certified. This allows patients and their insurers cost savings, as well as the comfort and convenience of having their surgery outside the hospital setting. With today's technology, most plastic surgery procedures are done on an out-patient basis with the patient going home the day of surgery.

The most highly visible aspect of plastic surgery is aesthetic or cosmetic surgery, which re-contours areas or features not pleasing to the patient, and may include facelifts, nose or breast surgery, liposuction or similar procedures. Once considered the province of the privileged, plastic surgery is now very commonplace and well accepted in society. This is due in part to the affordability of cosmetic surgery.
