Dr.
Mark L. Mathers is board certified in plastic and
reconstructive surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of
Surgery. He has been in practice since 1991.
Special procedures unique to his practice include
microvascular free tissue transfers, especially for breast
reconstructive after mastectomy.
Dr. Mathers
attended medical school at the Oklahoma State University
College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency there
in general surgery. His plastic surgery residency was at
the Plastic Surgery Institute in Des Moines, Iowa. He
also completed a fellowship at Cincinnati Plastic Surgery
Associates in Ohio.
Among his
professional affiliations, Dr. Mathers is a member if the
American Osteopathic Association, the American Medical
Association, the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association, the
American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, Leadership Tulsa,
Hillcrest Medical Center Foundation, and board member and
former chairman of the American Red Cross, Southwest Region
for Blood Services.
He currently has
privileges to perform surgery at Cherry Street Surgery Center,
St. john Medical Center, and Hillcrest Medical Center.
